Super Committee, Part Deux
Our posts on the Congressional Super Committee shall mirror horror movie themes that have multiple sequels. (This rule may only apply through Halloween. I’m not sure yet.)
The Twelve
The movie opens to a bustling urban area filled with historic monuments, museums and ornate, granite filled buildings where 535 leaders toil on public policy. Twelve Congresspeople that work in these beautiful buildings win a special prize — a junket to Super Committee Land. Super Committee Land is a special place filled with cash donations, amazing dining experiences and special attention; The Twelve are envied by their peers and elevated to hero status.
The Twelve are initially excited about earning this prestigious appointment. However, their enthusiasm quickly turns to dread! Monsters are hiding behind every corner… representing evil forces that want to suck the logic out of their brains and replace it with spineless goo. The monsters invade private meetings. Monsters chase after The Twelve everywhere they go. Monsters threaten and give eery, hostile reminders of electoral repercussions. “Give me what I want or else,” they sneer.
Enter the supreme leader, who lives in a White House and reminds The Twelve of the countdown to their doom. They must provide answers to impossible budgetary riddles, and the clock is quickly running down. They must find a secret treasure valued at $1.5 trillion or their fate will be sealed on November 23.
Monsters invading and deadlines looming! Stay tuned as the plot thickens, and The Twelve begin turning against each other in a zombie like manner! (Insert blood curdling scream here.)

Awesome – when are going to write a book? Oh – wait a minute, you would need 4 1/2 extra days in your week and those would need to be 41 hour days.
